The Brevity of Roses is free on Amazon!

Today and tomorrow, February 23 and 24, the digital version of my novel The Brevity of Roses is FREE at Amazon. REMEMBER, you don’t have to own a Kindle to read a Kindlebook. Amazon provides a free Kindle reader app for your PC, Mac, smartphone, or iPad.

If you haven’t read Brevity yet, here’s your chance to get it free. If you have read it, PLEASE spread the word about this promotion. I’m excited. Brevity is all dressed up in its beautiful new cover and waiting to be read. I want to see the book rise to the top of the Amazon ranks in its categories. If you tell your family and friends, on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and anywhere else you can think of about this giveaway, I will be eternally grateful.

Am I being melodramatic? Yes, I am. I really need this promotion to work. There are millions of books for sale on Amazon, so even though mine has a 4.6 star rating, it’s virtually INVISIBLE. With this promotion, I can make its existence known to thousands of readers who would love it.

Deep breath. Here we go!

LOL…It immediately hit me that my one click wasn’t a purchase but a gift, thank you!

  2. It just started and it’s already #95 under contemp. romance and climbing!
    This is exciting!

  3. wittybizgal says:

YAY! Got it! Thanks for the heads up…:-)

  4. Congrats! Love the new cover, and I’m spreading the word now.

  5. Jeannie says:

I went and downloaded it just now! Thank you so much!

  6. jenniferneri says:

Hi Linda, I’ve been spreading it – good old fashioned word of mouth.

  7. T.A. Olivia says:

Paying it forward! :D Good luck!

  8. I’ve seen your updates on this, and know it’s doing well. I’m so happy for you. One day, I want to read it, sadly, I have a 7 year old laptop, which cannot deal with the software Amazon are offering, but your novel is one of those I want to read and I’m not just saying that, I mean it, and I will read it one day. Wishing you the best of luck with the promotion. May it open doors for you, for it will be well deserved.

It’s up to #17 in contemporary fiction! YAY! It was 19 when I downloaded this morning, so still moving up :-)

    • The Amazon rankings are lagging behind, Cassie. Even though it says they’re updated every hour, my rank now says #14, yet I’ve “sold” 1,000 more copies since it first got there. (Is it pathetic that I know this?)

  10. Kat V says:

NUMBER 14 UNDER CONTEMPORARY FREE FICTION RIGHT NOW!! CONGRATS!

The new cover is stunning! I really love it.

  12. Good for you! It will be interesting to watch your progress and success with this!

And you have now officially made the Top 100 for all Kindle books free today, all categories both fiction and non, climbing high in your categories. Thanks for letting us get the rush off the ride…must feel good to be you today! What a great accomplishment and inspiration.

Of course btw, love the book, and read it right after your first release. Love the new cover, but if it is not a hassle, update the “Sample” view as well which still shows the old cover. Again, congrats, and can’t wait to see if you make #1 in a category! So much fun to watch!

    • Kat, you’ve been around since the first publication? Are you one of my blog lurkers? :-)

I don’t have control over that Kindle “look inside” feature, they’ve had problems keeping current for a while. The actual sample has the correct cover … or at least the one I downloaded did.

I’m off to check the stats again. This is such a fun day! :D

      • Kat V says:

Ha ha! yes, a lurker….a fan more to the point….You are an inspiration to me! I’m happy to have paid for the book, and it was one of my “treasures read” last year.

I have draft outlines of novels (in Scrivener now thanks to you!) and haven’t gotten as far as you, so I’ve loved following you. And I have a memory of a great read in Brevity — so lurker yes, but more a silent fan. Perhaps you have more fans than you know!

Yay, Linda! So excited to see your novel growing and growing—it’s well-deserved, my dear. Congratulations and I’ll continue to spread the word on this end too!

  15. judithhb says:

Linda I have sent this on to all my friends in the hope that it will push your book way up to the stars!

  16. I’ll go there and download it right away. Congrats and thanks for the heads up Linda!

  17. Darlene says:

Sounds like it is going well my friend. Best of luck!
