Why I’m a missing blogger.

I realized this morning that it was time for a new post, but I had none written. One of my sons is visiting and he’s a magnet for the kids in the family, so I’ve had constant distraction since Tuesday, not to mention blankets, pillows, and air mattresses everywhere because, of course, they all want to spend the night. I have a tiny house, and everyone gathers in the living room, so imagine two or three conversations and the TV going at the same time—from dawn to midnight!

It’s all fun, but it’s a drastic change from my usual long hours alone. I’d forgotten what it’s like to have so little quiet. For those of you who write with little children around you all day, I commend you. I don’t know how you do it. Anyway, that’s the reason I have no post for today. Sorry.

Don’t forget me; I’ll return soon with my thoughts on … something. I guess you can read that as either threat or promise. 🙂

  1. I was just wondering this morning about how you’ve been doing! 🙂 Glad to hear you’re having fun (even if it is a bit draining and a stretch from the usual). I’m a delinquent blogger, myself – just realized it’s been almost a full week for me! Oops…I want and need to write a new post, but it probably won’t happen until tomorrow.

Anyway! Just wanted to let you know I miss you! Have fun with your family!! 🙂

  2. Yes, I’m MIA as well. Just too much going on in my life right now to blog. Which makes this post a relief. I feel bad when I neglect me blogging friends so it helps when they’re missing too. 🙂

  3. Glad to hear you are having fun and have a great reason for not blogging! Enjoy the chaos while it lasts, you’ll get your quiet time again soon. Oh, I look forward to quieter days, while at the same time savouring the constant noise and activity we have here at the moment 🙂

  4. Don’t be silly, we’d never forget you!! You’re right, sometimes there are just way too many distractions. We’ve all been there at one time or another. Guess it’s your turn now.
